I was invited to become an Assessor Elder to Almanarah in 2010. At that time, I really did not know anything about Almanarah or it’s members. I also knew very little about the Middle Eastern culture, the Arabic language and the long history of Christianity in that area.
I feel blessed to serve Almanarah and I have learned so much from the congregation and I have witnessed the joy of worshipping without fear that most of us take for granted.
I have come to know and admire the depth of faith and trust in God that Rev. Kahlil possesses and how deeply he cares for this congregation.
At the present time, I am the Interim Clerk of Session, responsible for record keeping and other duties.
I am a member of Oakridge Presbyterian Church and was a Ruling Elder. Until Feb. 2017 when I resigned from Session having served for the past twelve years.
